Last Tuesday we hosted a Halloween party at Shooters together with @hnsassociation 🎃👻! We saw the most wonderful costumes come by during this amazing night. On Tuesday the 1st of October we will be hosting our annual aroma tasting! During this tasting, we will dive deeper into the wine world together by using our sense of smell. This tasting will be a unique opportunity to learn about the aromas that can be found in different wines. It will also provide you with a new set of skills for the upcoming tastings. Thursday. Today we got to visit 2 wineries again. We started off the day at @weingutzaehringer , a winehouse that listens to what the earth tells them and takes into account the biodiversity in their vineyards. During our tour the members also got the chance to check out the inside of an empty wine tank! Next, we got to visit Nopper Winehouse where our members got a nice surprise, this tasting would take place on the mountainside in between the vineyards! We boarded the owner's little “train” and got to enjoy some really nice wines with amazing views. To end this day we had the last city trip of this wine trip; Freiburg! We got to enjoy this beautiful city and got to see an incredible sunset with the skyline of Freiburg.

Wednesday🍷 We started the day with a tasting @drink_achillee , a fairly young wine house in France with a lot of interesting wines. Then we visited a wine museum about the Alsace region where our members got to learn about wine making techniques back in the day. Afterwards we had a city trip to Colmar, the members got some time to discover the city and have a nice dinner (and maybe some wines😜) We ended this eventful day around a relaxing campfire enjoying the musicality of our members!

After some well deserved time off after the wine trip, it is time for our next tasting! Upcoming Tuesday we will have a tasting hosted by Jip and Job from @tinc.set. Job is a former board member of our association and together with Jip they import wine from Catalonia, and recently they started importing from Jura and Pfalz as well! 🍇Tuesday! Visiting two wineries which have their very own method of making wine. We visited Domaine Andre Blanck and the Winehouse and very special rooftop vineyard of Gustave Lorentz! 🍷 (Not to forget that we started this day with a sabering session 🥂🍾!)

City trip!! ☀️ On Monday we had our city trip to Strasbourg, France. A beautiful city where the German influences are clearly visible. Our alumni had an amazing 3-course winemakers lunch. The current members strolled through the city and enjoyed some great wines! 🍷 We ended this beautiful day with even more beautiful performances during the ‘bonte avond’! 🪩

The winetrip has begun! 🍷 A week of tasting, drinking and fun. The first two days of the trip were all about traveling, getting installed and drinking of course! Visiting the first vineyard, a digestive tasting, and partying 🍾. This year, things are a little different. For the first time we introduced the Alumni Winetrip. We want to welcome our alumni by joining the current members for a shorter winetrip with a partially alternative program (and sleeping in a hotel 😉). Three days of being a Dionysus member again, networking with alumni and getting to know the current members. We want to welcome the OudDio’s!

The first month of the year has passed. Time to look at how we went into the new year. Recap time once again! The last month saw another two tastings. One was hosted by Wim Sterk from @sterk_wijnen, and for the second tasting, we visited @de.markies for another fermented beverage, beer!
