Welcome to Dionysus, the wine association of Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
We’re not just another student association. We’re a community of wine lovers who explore the world of wine together through tastings, social events, and unforgettable parties.
The highlight of our year is the annual wine trip, where we visit some of Europe’s most beautiful wine regions and create memories that last a lifetime.

All year round we host fun and engaging wine tastings with guest speakers from the industry. From sommeliers and restaurant professionals to wine importers and more, you’ll get the chance to learn straight from the experts.
They share stories, tips, and insights that make the world of wine come alive while also giving you plenty of opportunities to connect and network.

Besides our tastings, we keep the year exciting with a wide variety of activities and parties.
From lively Start of the Module celebrations to our elegant annual gala, from the much-loved reveal tasting to the Ladies and Gentlemen events, there is always something fun happening thanks to our Gastro & Event committee.
And of course, we cannot forget our annual Dionysus wine trip. This adventure is all about exploring the world of wine, creating memories, and building friendships, perfectly organized by our dedicated Winetrip committee.
