Yannick's Journey from Wine Enthusiast to Vice-President at Dionysus

Hey, I'm Yannick, 24 years young, and 4th year at NHL where I study Hospitality Management.



I've been a member since the academic year 2021/2022, and in these years I've done quite a lot of different things, I was part of the Winetrip Committee when we went to Rioja, which made me want to do more in the association, which led to me becoming Vice-president the following year, as well as still being involved with the association by joining the Gastro & Events Committee the year after that.

Dionysus is about learning about wine foremost, but it is also being part of a second family, where everyone can be themselves without being judged by others, and bring their own unique personality to shine. Ever since day one I felt like I came home, and made some friends I hope to have in my life forever!

Every wine tasting brought new memories and experiences, from old wine countries such as France to Australia and Brazil. This of course helped me expand my wine knowledge in addition to being able to try stuff I probably normally wouldn't have even come across.

The most fulfilling however was my year as Vice-president of board Kokernoot, where I not only learned a lot about myself as well as my team of board members, but also ended up with a job offer that I couldn't let go, as I currently work in the first wine shop of Tinc Set, one of our current sponsors.
